I've developed a disability but have 2 full sized Ford Vans and big F-350 Ford Truck. One of vans and the truck have running boards, but I still have trouble getting in and out. I ordered these and took them and the vehicles to a metal fabrication shop, and had them welded underneath the running boards to give me a step below the running boards. On my '85 Ford Van, with no running boards, I bolted them underneath the rocker panel area as per the instructions with little or no problem. If you need assistance getting in or out of a tall vehicle, these should be beneficial for you.
